Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? Protocol Education is working with schools across Ferryhill, Durham who are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

You'll provide practical and emotional support to pupils while helping teachers deliver engaging lessons and targeted learning activities.

Role Information
  • Full-time
  • September 2026 start
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:30am-3:30pm or 8:30am-4:00pm
  • Term-time only
  • Long-term placements
  • Permanent opportunities available
What you'll be doing
  • Supporting teachers with classroom learning
  • Working with pupils individually and in small groups
  • Delivering planned interventions
  • Supporting children with additional learning needs
  • Helping pupils remain focused and engaged
  • Preparing resources and learning materials
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and independence
  • Building strong relationships with pupils
We're looking for someone with
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Previous school-based experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and proactive attitude
  • Patience and enthusiasm
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
