The CompanyOur client is a major player in the design, manufacture and distribution Fluid Power, Fuel and Fluid transfer systems. The group turns over in excess of £140 million annually and aim for 10% growth year on year.
The company employs over 600 staff as a group across their major distribution centre and a number of bespoke design and manufacturing sites spread throughout the UK and Europe. These sites allow the business to design bespoke solutions for their customers along the catalogue products they can provide.
They are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to join their county Durham site with immediate effect. You will be leading projects from customer enquiry through so installation of bespoke fluid handling systems.
The RoleThe role of Project Manager will see you take projects from customer enquiry through to site delivery. Most projects range from 15K - 150K in value and see the company providing bespoke systems containing tanks, pumps, valves, specialist pipework, control systems and enclosures.
A project will include:
- Tender package received from a customer
- Reviewing technical specifications and drawings
- Referring engineering calculations required to the design team
- Liaising with suppliers to estimate costs for bought out components
- Liaising with manufacturing to estimate build and install costs
- Providing a technical quotation for the project to the customer
- Producing a programme for the Project
- Management of the project through design, procurement and build
- Managing the documentation required for site installation work
- Reacting to and solving any ongoing problems in project delivery
To be successful in your application for this Project Manager role you will need:
- Experience in leading projects within an engineering or manufacturing setting
- Strong relationship building skills
- To be able to plan and organise workload effectively
- To be someone who works well in a team
