** Salary*: £27,769.42 + 20% shift allowance = £33,323.39 per year
* Shifts*:
Double Days, Mon–Fri (6 am–2 pm / 2 pm–10 pm, weekly rotation)
* Contract*:
Full-time, Permanent
Location:
Spennymoor DL16, commutable from Durham, Newton Aycliffe, Stockton and local arears.

About the role
We’re looking for a Pallet Repair Operative to join CHEP – the global leader in pallet, crate, and container pooling. You’ll inspect and repair pallets in a fast-paced, target-driven production environment, utilising hand tools and collaborating with automation and new technologies.
What you’ll do
* Inspect and repair pallets using hand tools
* Apply safe working practices and meet safety standards
* Maintain quality and production targets
* Perform manual handling and housekeeping tasks
* Support automation processes and adapt to new technologies
* Uphold professional conduct and timekeeping standards
What we need from you
* Experience in a production or repair environment preferred
* Comfortable with manual handling and physical tasks
* Safety-conscious and reliable
* Able to work to quality standards in a fast-paced setting
* Willingness to learn and work with automation
* Experience in using power tools and hand tools would be beneficial
