Salary Range: $86,000.00 To $ Annually

Spokane Industries has been a staple of this community since 1952. Now, more than 70 years later, we still pour iron and steel castings for the mining, construction, and crushing equipment that keeps the world running. Under new ownership since 2022, we’re investing in lean operations, a focus on quality, profit sharing, and growth. We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who wants to help build the financial foundation for our next chapter and grow with us.

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting operations and deliver accurate, timely monthly financial reporting.

You will run the monthly close checklist day to day, prepare our financial statements, and keep the books clean for our outside CPA firm, which handles company taxes and filings. In a foundry, that means working with real production data: inventory, work in process and scrap.

• Own the monthly close checklist day to day and keep it on schedule
• Prepare journal entries, accruals and complex account reconciliations
• Prepare the income statement, balance sheet and supporting schedules
• Record inventory, work in process (WIP) and scrap entries, working with production on cost data
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations
• Manage AR, collections and customer payment communications
• Give our outside CPA firm the trial balance, schedules and backup documents they need for tax prep and year-end
• Help gather numbers for the yearly budget
• Follow and support our approval rules and internal controls
• Help test and move data during our upcoming ERP system change

Required

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 3 to 6 years of hands-on accounting experience, including month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Solid working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong Excel skills and experience with an ERP or accounting system
• Accuracy and follow-through: you own your deadlines

Preferred

• CPA license
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience (inventory, WIP, scrap, standard vs actual cost)
• SYSPRO experience

Pay:$86,000 to $110,000 per year. Starting pay depends on experience and certifications.
