Clerical, Office Administrator/ Coordinator
This position acts as a liaison to local law enforcement and prosecuting entities, specifically subpoena coordination. Under general supervision, complete correspondence, data input, maintain files, and perform a variety of duties relative to the Security Department. This position requires the ability to work independently, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, and maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information. Provides general support to the Security Department.
Examplesof Duties
- Liaison with local law enforcement relating to court appearances for Security Department Staff.
- Manage subpoena services for STA security.
- Provide support to the Security Department; keyboarding, proof and edit correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information.
- Provide prompt and courteous response to Security Department inquiries.
- Maintain general correspondence, technical files, and records in assigned areas.
- Scan reports and enter report data into the system.
- Schedule training and input training records.
- Prepare materials and presentations for meetings and training classes.
- Represent Spokane Transit in professional and positive light to the community.
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers both internally and externally.
Training & Experience
High school diploma or GED. Vocational or business education is a plus. Experience in a confidential work/office environment preferred.
Physical Requirements
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability to work in a standard office environment setting; stand or sit for
prolonged periods of time; operate office equipment including extensive use of a computer keyboard; push, pull, lift,
and/or carry light amounts of weight. Vision sufficient to see in the normal visual range with or without correction; to
read computer screens and printed documents; and operate assigned equipment. Hearing in the normal audio range
with or without corrections. Repetitive motions of wrist, hands and/or fingers.
Computer Skills
Ability to keyboard accurately at the minimum rate of fifty words per minute. Proficiency within the Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, and Outlook environments.

- Starting Wage $25.83hr (Range $25.83 – $34.62)
