Compensation ranges from $26 to $37+ per flat rate hour based on experience and education and includes a bonus component.

Position overview:

Auto Nation is looking for an Auto Technician/Auto Mechanic to join our team at an experienced level. You will perform vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards, delivering top-notch work to delight customers. You will interact daily with Customers, Service Advisors, other Technicians, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers.

Customers, Service Advisors, other Technicians, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers.

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair orders, with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive customer loyalty.
• Communicate regularly with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of customer vehicles.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of standard tools and any specialized tools as needed by the service department.
• Keep up to date with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training as appropriate.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician
• Automotive technical training (varies by store)
• Attention to detail, organization and follow-up skills
• Valid in-state driver’s license with an acceptable, safe driving record
