Job Description
We are seeking a Marine Construction Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. This role involves leading contract negotiations, managing project documentation, coordinating work activities, overseeing procurement, identifying business opportunities, preparing estimates and proposals, and transitioning successful bids to active projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead all contract negotiations and change order identification.
Prepare and manage submittals and required project documentation.
Coordinate self-performed and subcontracted work activities with onsite Superintendent.
Oversee procurement and acquisition of materials, ensuring quality control.
Develop and implement process improvements for competitive advantage.
Identify bid opportunities and attend on-site visits.
Prepare bid/no bid recommendations for management review.
Review plans and specifications for comprehensive quantity take-offs.
Identify costs for labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment.
Collaborate with Operations Managers on crew sizes, durations, and equipment needs.
Communicate project-specific risks and determine execution methods.
Transition successful bids into project budgets and finalize subcontracts.
5 years of experience estimating small heavy civil construction projects ($100k value).
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of construction management and project management principles.
Ability to review plans/specifications and perform accurate take-offs.
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
5–15 years in Marine Construction.
Experience with CAD drafting/design.
Familiarity with standard construction practices and regulations.
Less than 5 years of relevant estimating experience.
No experience with heavy civil construction projects.
Inability to travel for site visits.
Lack of proficiency in estimating software.
Poor tenure history (job hopping).

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $150000.00 – $160000.00/hr.
