Job PurposeGonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, is seeking an adjunct faculty member for the School of Law. The successful candidate will possess enthusiasm, classroom presence, and the skills to engage students and is committed to pursuing excellence in teaching and promoting an inclusive learning environment. The candidate will be fully responsible for course planning, delivering class sessions, creating and collecting assignments, submitting grades, and being available to students for office hours (one hour per week per course, or as needed).
Compensation& Review
Salary: $2,691 per credit. Salary range will be reviewed on November 19th, 2025.

Adjunct Faculty - Months per Year: 4.5
- Prepare, plan, and teach assigned courses.
- Hold office hours (amount determined in consultation with Department Chair).
- Create and grade assignments, including submitting grades according to established deadlines.
- Degree in the area of expertise the adjunct is applying to teach, or a closely related field.
- Experience teaching in a classroom setting.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness, including the ability to respond to learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience using classroom strategies and pedagogies to advance equity and inclusion.
- In‑office presence:
Ability to work on‑site in a typical office setting and participate in in‑person meetings with colleagues (5 days/week). - Standing/Sitting:
Ability to remain in a stationary position for a prolonged period (Daily – >75% of time). - Walking:
Ability to move about on foot to accomplish tasks (Daily – >75% of time). - Lifting/Carrying:
Ability to move or transport objects up to a specified weight (Often – 50%–75% of time). - Attention to Detail:
Ability to focus on detailed tasks for extended periods (Daily – >75% of time). - Problem‑Solving:
Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively (Daily – >75% of time).
