Job Purpose: Gonzaga University, in Spokane, Washington, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Physical Education Activity Class Instructor to teach Group Pilates within the Physical Education Activity Class Program. Instructors in this program lead and facilitate activity‑based courses designed to promote health, fitness, skill development, and overall wellness among students.

Essential Functions:
- Deliver safe, effective, and engaging Pilates classes suitable for participants of all fitness levels.
- Develop class formats.
- Demonstrate proper technique.
- Offer modifications.
- Fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment.
- Ensure each student receives high‑quality instruction consistent with program goals and Gonzaga University standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Pilates Instructor through a recognized organization (e.g., STOTT, Peak Pilates, BASI, Balanced Body, Polestar, or equivalent).
- Current CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong understanding of anatomy, alignment, and Pilates principles.
- Previous experience teaching group Pilates classes preferred.
- Excellent communication, cueing, and motivational skills.
- Ability to modify exercises for diverse populations, fitness levels, and special considerations.

In‑Office Presence - Ability to work on‑site in typical office setting and participate in in‑person meetings with colleagues: 3 days/week
