Starting salary for this position: $40.83 – $86.87 per hour, based on workload category. Compensation is pro-rated according to the amount of workload assigned.

• Prepare for and instruct classes in Mathematics. Class modality may be in person, hybrid, or online.
• Provide availability to students through a combination of office hours, e‑mail, and other effective means of responsive and timely communication.
• Communicate expectations and establish clear grading criteria, including but not limited to developing course syllabi, handouts, and materials supporting the instructional process.
• Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback.
• Comply with state and federal law applicable to professional duties and responsibilities; follow established procedures in areas such as printing, turning in grades, student safety and health issues, and related administrative processes.

• Master's degree in Mathematics or Statistics or in a closely related field with graduate‑level Math coursework.
• Experience teaching Mathematics.
• Commitment to fostering and supporting student success.
• Understanding and acceptance of the mission, values, goals, and objectives of SCC.
• The ability to perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and goals of the institution, community, and technical college system.

• One year of full‑time post‑secondary teaching experience (graduate students are encouraged to apply).
• Experience with non‑STEM algebra or introductory college‑level transfer Mathematics classes.
• Ability to assist students with a wide range of mathematical skills.
