Professional Softball Instructor

Mariners Training Center (MTC) instructors are responsible for developing and delivering top-level instruction for youth athletes ranging from beginner to advanced in various programs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform skill-specific instruction in our facilities and at community fields.
• Build and maintain relationships with athletes, families, and coaches.
• Deliver age and ability-appropriate content in team, camp/clinic, small group, and 1-on-1 settings.
• Collaborate with other instructors.
• Assist in equipment setup and breakdown.
• Attend staff and company meetings as needed.

Requirements:

• Played and/or coached at collegiate or professional levels.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow and adjust instructional plans for different ages and abilities.
• Supportive attitude with colleagues and clients.
• Utilize technologies to enhance instruction.
• Local travel for programs in surrounding communities.

Perks:

• Multiple compensation levels.
• Team training, clinics, camps: $28-$40/hr.
• 1-on-1 and small group lessons: $40-$70/hr.
• Base rate: $19/hr.
• Opportunities to instruct at MLB stadiums and events nationwide, with travel covered by the company.

Salary: $19 per hour, up to $60 per lesson.
