The firm emphasizes cross-disciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, corrosion control, and project/construction management to deliver innovative engineering solutions.

The company is seeking a Bridge Engineer (three to five years) for employment in our Spokane office. The primary marketplace includes Washington, Oregon, and Idaho with potential opportunities across the United States. The successful candidate will be independent, self-motivated, energetic, and a team player seeking a challenging opportunity within a dynamic firm.

This position will assist in managing, designing, and detailing bridge projects of varying sizes and complexity. The candidate will have the ability to network with clients from diverse private, local, state, and federal agencies. The work is predominantly office based; some field work may be required, with safety procedures in place. Field activities may include working at heights, confined spaces, near highway traffic, and ariel lift platforms.

• A four-year degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with an emphasis in bridge engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited university.
• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience with bridge design, seismic assessment, in-service inspection, bridge load ratings, repairs, and rehabilitations.
• A BSCE degree with emphasis in bridge/structural engineering. MSCE preferred with emphasis in bridge/structural engineering.
• Experience with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and any Department of Transportation bridge design, bridge standard details, design manuals or construction standards and protocols preferred.
• Experience with computer analysis software systems including AutoCAD, PGSuper, Risa 3D, MathCAD, SI Software including SAP and CSI Bridge and Bluebeam Revu preferred.
• Strong technical and organizational skills.
• NHI Bridge Inspection Certification preferred.
• Experience working as part of a multi-discipline design team preferred.
• Experience as a project manager preferred.
• Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.

Expected Salary range: $78,000-$89,000
