Jacobs is looking for a Senior Dam and Hydropower Project Manager to join our dynamic Northwest team. In this role, you will support the delivery of dams, hydropower, and fish passage projects and programs in the Pacific Northwest and Northern California. You’ll work with a team of experts in diversion structures, intakes, fish screens, pipelines, canals, pump stations, reservoirs, and other water transmission and control facilities.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and deliver challenging projects while serving and developing clients. You’ll support business‑development activities with key clients and perform the role of Project Engineer, Design Manager, Client Sales Lead, or Subject‑Matter Expert (SME) across various projects and programs.
Key Qualifications- Demonstrated track record of driving technical work and/or design management for multidisciplinary projects with complex issues.
- Proficient experience on dam, hydropower, and fisheries‑related topics as a discipline/technical lead.
- Proven experience leading multi‑discipline teams.
- Professional Engineering License in the State of Washington, Oregon, or Idaho (or ability to obtain this within six months).
- Strong well‑rounded technical design skills encompassing all contributing disciplines.
- Recognized by clients as an expert with working technical knowledge of hydraulics and reservoir facilities design and planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
- Strong technical and project background with large water impoundment and diversion design, monitoring, and renovation.
- Existing relationships with clients and other consulting firms in the Northwest.
- Familiarity and experience with FERC license requirements.
- A desire to support overall market growth through direct engagement or mentoring of other staff.
