Compensation: $125,000 - $160,000 / year

As a Professional Engineer for Roadway, you will design and analyze freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails, with support from your team.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?- Design and analysis freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails
- Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation projects
- Work under the direction of a Project Manager to lead the roadway design discipline and to coordinate and integrate the other associated design disciplines on projects
- Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder coordination, and sub consultant management
- Interface with coworkers to achieve shared success
Competencies:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering license in state of employment or ability to obtain within one year of hire
- 5 years of experience in roadway transportation engineering
- Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams
- Solid background in AASHTO roadway geometric design criteria
- Proficiency using Bentley civil design software is preferred
- Knowledge of WSDOT/ITD standards and plan preparation procedures
- Drainage design and/or traffic engineering experience is a plus
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project assignment
