Job DescriptionThe Sr. Network Engineer ensures the integrity, security, and performance of JHS's enterprise network infrastructure. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network solutions that support business operations across on‑premise and cloud environments.
Responsibilities- Network Design and Implementation: Architect, configure, and deploy enterprise network solutions (LAN/WAN, SD‑WAN, ISE, VPN, wireless) to meet evolving business needs.
- Network Administration: Maintain operational excellence through proactive maintenance, patching and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls and related network hardware/software.
- Automation: Design and implement automation frameworks for network provisioning, configuration management and performance optimization.
- Network Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, latency and security alerts to ensure high availability and stability.
- Cloud Services: Support and optimize connectivity for cloud services and corporate applications hosted in AWS and Azure. Manage complex routing between on‑prem networks and cloud applications.
- Project Management: Lead network related projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business requirements, timelines and budgets.
- Technical Analysis: Apply advanced diagnostic skills to resolve complex network, application and infrastructure challenges, including root cause analysis.

Collaboration:
Partner with engineering teams, stakeholders and management in projects to achieve business success and maintain compliance. - Documentation: Develop comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, processes and troubleshooting procedures.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as directed by IT Management.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field is required.
- Minimum 8 years of related experience required.
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP or higher) desired.
- Firewall/Security certifications (Palo Alto, Fortinet or similar) desired.
- VMware Network Virtualization (VCP‑NV) desired.
- Hands‑on experience with LAN/WAN design, SD‑WAN, VPN, wireless, and firewall administration required.
- Proven ability to design and implement high‑availability, redundant, and secure network architectures required.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis required.
- Experience with network automation, monitoring tools, and security best practices required.
- Cloud networking and hybrid connectivity experience desired.
- Pharmaceutical and FDA regulated industry experience desired.
- Regulated industry experience desired.
- 10 years of related experience can be used instead of a degree. A high school diploma or equivalent is still required.
Shift: Weekday Days, Monday‑Friday
Compensation & Benefits- Hiring Wage: $93,800.00 – $150,000 annually depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises.
