Senior Bridge Engineer – Horrocks

Unmatched Comp Time Policy: Hours worked over 40 in a week can be reimbursed as additional pay at an equivalent hourly rate or banked as additional PTO.

As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will support the engineering design of structures and provide top‑of‑the‑industry engineering services verified through a rigorous QC process. You will build connections with team members, develop client relationships, and utilize cutting‑edge technology to design infrastructure that will last.
CoreResponsibilities
- Design, evaluate, and analyze highway bridges.
- Prepare designs, quantity take‑offs, cost estimates, and specifications.
- Work in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs.
- Perform bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite element software, and/or other bridge software.
- Design multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structures.
- Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction and objectives are met.
- Apply AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes.
- Demonstrate strong people skills and work in a multi‑disciplinary team environment.
- Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineering.
- Lead structures for projects, coordinating staff and design efforts.
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering;
Master’s degree a plus. - Registered PE or SE a plus.
- 12+ years of experience.
- Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices; some travel required (
