Project Geotechnical Engineer

Geo Engineers Inc. invites candidates to apply for the Project Geotechnical Engineer role. This position supports transportation, energy, development, and natural resources projects within the Puget Sound area.

• Lead or coordinate the development and implementation of field exploration programs and construction observation projects, ensuring work is consistent with project plans, specifications, and safety guidelines.
• Assist with training junior technical and technician staff.
• Complete engineering analyses and calculations; develop moderately complex conceptual models.
• Perform moderately complex spatial analyses.
• Generate technical reports, including routine reports, figures, and tables; assist senior staff with large, complex reports.
• Support project management tasks such as budget planning, general field report reviews, and proposal development; manage small projects under supervision of a certified professional engineer or geologist as required.

• BS degree in Civil Engineering required; MS degree with a Geotechnical Engineering focus strongly preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required.
• At least one year of project management experience.
• PE license required.
• Professional-level verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Valid driver's license required.

• All candidates are subject to completing a background check and reference check.
• All candidates are required to participate in the medical surveillance program.
• Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities and do heavy work including exerting up to 50 pounds of force on occasion.
• Able to perform consistent work on a PC.
• Ability to travel for short-term and long-term assignments as needed.
• All employees are responsible for conducting their work in a safe manner, identifying potential safety hazards, reporting them to the designated project manager in a timely manner, participating in project safety briefings, wearing appropriate safety equipment in the field, and completing required health & safety training prior to beginning field work.

Our best salary range estimate for this position, located in Spokane WA, is $80,200 - $113,000 annually. Compensation will be based on educational and experiential factors and reviewed annually. Employees may also be eligible for a year‑end bonus subject to eligibility.
