Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to lead a team responsible for performing comprehensive structural analysis and design for a wide range of building structures, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. In this leadership role, you will oversee the team’s efforts to ensure all designs adhere to governing codes and standards while providing detailed construction administration support throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, you will guide your team in delivering innovative and reliable solutions for diverse and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and guide the structural engineering team to ensure high‑quality deliverables and successful project outcomes.
  • Foster continuous professional development by staying current with advancements in structural engineering practices, codes, and technologies.
  • Act as a mentor to junior engineers, supporting their career growth and development.
Structural Design & Analysis
  • Conduct and oversee detailed structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures using industry‑standard methodologies and software.
  • Provide technical guidance during design phases, ensuring the development of integrated and innovative design solutions.
  • Lead and participate in in‑house design reviews, providing strategic input and quality assurance.
  • Develop and refine non‑standard calculation methods as needed for complex designs.
Project & Financial Management
  • Monitor project man‑hour utilization and adjust as necessary to meet budget and schedule constraints.
  • Act as or assist the Project Manager in ensuring projects are completed within budgeted hours and timelines.
  • Provide strategic direction for project scope, budget management, and schedule oversight.
Collaboration & Client Relations
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, project stakeholders, and consultants to ensure alignment on goals, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to create integrated design solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions, verify compliance with specifications, and proactively address construction‑related challenges.
Construction Administration & Documentation
  • Ensure thorough construction administration support, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting structural inspections.
