Senior Mechanical Engineering Leader – Join our Spokane, WA office as a Lead Engineer or Engineer of Record. The role supports company-wide technical improvement, engages in business development, strengthens client relationships, and represents PAE through presentations and industry involvement. It also includes mentoring staff, contributing to company standards, and ensuring quality management across projects.
What You’ll Do- Project team leadership and budget management as Project Manager with approval. Utilize tools and resources for project planning, forecasting, progress tracking
- Technical leadership of PAE’s design scope as Lead Engineer and/or Engineer of Record (EOR) with approval
- Improve the technical operations of the company
- Active engagement in PAE’s success
- Interview for projects
- Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Present to clients, staff and at industry events
- Provide mentorship, training and development for staff
- Significant involvement in company standards and improve company processes
- Enforce the project quality management plan (QMP)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering for discipline work
- 12+ years of industry experience
- Relevant professional credential within discipline (PE, CPD, RCDD, etc.)
- Must have significant experience in a management or leadership role
- Inspire and motivate staff
- Effective leadership and people skills
- Lead and manage projects successfully and profitably
- Demonstrate commitment to PAE
- Serve as a senior technical resource for the company
- Project leadership skills including billing, reporting, resource allocation and scheduling
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Revit/AutoCAD
- Hiring Base Salary Range: $114,600-$161,900 annual
