The Roads and Highways Practice is seeking a Transportation Project Manager in Boise, , Coeur d’Alene, , Pocatello, , or Spokane, WA. This role will focus on project management, team leadership, and business development, contributing to the delivery of complex transportation infrastructure across the region.
What You’ll Do- Lead pursuit and project management efforts for bridge, roadway, freeway, highway corridor, and interchange planning/design projects
- Oversee project execution to ensure on‑time, on‑budget, and high‑quality deliverables
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams
- Review engineering documents for compliance with scope, standards, and DEA’s quality expectations
- Help attract, develop, and retain top talent, while managing performance and supporting career growth
- Collaborate with the Group Leader to achieve business metrics including sales, backlog, utilization, profitability, and client satisfaction
- Ensure adherence to DEA’s firm‑wide tools, processes, and policies related to project budgeting, contracting, and quality management
- 15+ years of transportation engineering experience, with at least 3 years in project management or as a design lead
- Strong background working with public agencies such as ITD, WSDOT, and LHTAC
- Expertise in roadway or bridge design, including hands‑on experience with Open Roads Designer
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed PE in Idaho and Washington or ability to obtain within 6 months
