Weekday Process Engineer I, II, & III – Jubilant Pharma Limited
Position:
On-site, full-time.
Location:
Spokane, WA.
- Design, optimize and implement site manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
- Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows.
- Establish and track process metrics to monitor stability and identify improvement areas.
- Conduct technical transfer of new products from internal and external clients.
- Own product process from initial quote to product retirement.
- Evaluate incoming processes for robustness, efficiency, and compatibility within the JHS-Spokane site.
- Define CPPs and CQAs to enable reliable execution upon transfer to Manufacturing.
- Prepare authorization study documents demonstrating that manufacturing processes produce consistent, acceptable products.
- Develop and execute validation studies to qualify new or improved manufacturing processes.
- Support troubleshooting, oversight, or sampling of events in manufacturing, including occasional on‑shift at‑location support.
- Generate summary reports of studies to document data collected; use data to qualify site processes.
- Review data summaries from other departments, detect trends or conditions that could affect the quality of sterile products, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Participate or perform deviation investigations and assess the impact.
- Implement effective CAPA actions.
- Optimize gross profit margin and reduce deviation rate.
- Provide reviews for regulatory and client audits and respond to observations.
- Have in‑depth understanding of cGMPs, European regulatory requirements, USP chapters, and science principles relevant to clean‑room operations, media fills, sterilization, depyrogenation (dry heat and steam), endotoxin reduction, and microbiological monitoring and control.
- Perform job functions with direct supervision. Must work independently but not autonomously.
- Be knowledgeable in essential scientific principles, research guidance, maintain awareness.
- Acquire subject‑matter expertise on site processes.
- Perform job functions autonomously with leadership oversight to improve efficiency.

- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering.
- 0–5 years related pharmaceutical experience or FDA‑regulated industry experience desired.
- Master’s degree counts as 2 years experience desired.
- Project management experience desired.
- Statistical analysis experience desired.
- Lean manufacturing principles preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience required.
- Extended periods of sitting or standing required.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted required.
- 2–5 years related pharmaceutical experience or FDA‑regulated industry experience required.
- Supervisory or leadership experience desired.
- 3–7 years related pharmaceutical experience or FDA‑regulated industry experience required.

- 4 days at 10 hours per day;
Weekday shift:
Monday–Thursday. - 5 days at 8 hours per day;

This position offers an on‑site, full‑time workload location in Spokane, WA.
- Hiring wage:
Process Engineer I: $77,969–$99,000 depending on experience; opportunity for growth, promotion, annual raises. Midpoint and above reserved for employees with longevity and outstanding performance. - Process Engineer II: $77,000–$99,000 similar to Engineer I; growth, promotion, annual raises
- Process Engineer III: $79,500–$116,000 similar to Engineer II; growth, promotion, annual raises.
