Compensation: $125,000 - $160,000 / year

As a Professional Engineer for Roadway, you will design and analyze freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails, with support from your team.

What are the core responsibilities for the role?

* Design and analysis freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails

* Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation projects

* Work under the direction of a Project Manager to lead the roadway design discipline and to coordinate and integrate the other associated design disciplines on projects

* Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder coordination, and sub consultant management

* Interface with coworkers to achieve shared success

Qualifications, Skills, and

Competencies:

* Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering

* Professional Engineering license in state of employment or ability to obtain within one year of hire

* 5 years of experience in roadway transportation engineering

* Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams

* Solid background in AASHTO roadway geometric design criteria

* Proficiency using Bentley civil design software is preferred

* Knowledge of WSDOT/ITD standards and plan preparation procedures

* Drainage design and/or traffic engineering experience is a plus

* Solid written and oral communication skills

* Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

* Proficiency with MS Office applications

* A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project assignment
