The Management Accountant plays a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial information, supporting departmental budgeting and forecasting, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across financial processes.

This role requires a proactive and detail‑oriented professional with strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

• Financial Management & Reporting
• Prepare and post monthly journals, including intercompany recharges and P&L adjustments.
• Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and lead schedules.
• Produce and analyze management accounts, providing insightful variance analysis and commentary for stakeholders.
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Lead the preparation of monthly consolidated departmental reports.
• Partner with department heads to develop, review, and refine budgets.
• Month‑End & Year‑End Activities
• Manage the month‑end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial information.
• Prepare lead schedules and year‑end working papers to support audit requirements.
• Taxation & Compliance
• Prepare and submit Group VAT returns via Sage, including reconciliations and necessary adjustments.
• Support the preparation of corporation tax and R&D tax submissions.
• Payroll & Employee Data
• Process payroll journals and review payroll reports for accuracy.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Support BAU activities for EBL's AP / AR functions, including the maintenance of customer, supplier, and staff data.
• Business Partnering
• Collaborate closely with department heads to review performance, budgets, and forecasts.
• Systems & Controls
• Oversee company card and staff expense processes, implementing updates, improvements, and training initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement & Supervision
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across finance functions.
