Member Advocate II

Location: Francis branch, 1212 W. Francis Avenue (no remote work)

Wage: $23.83 – $28/hr + incentives (DOE).
Bonus: $1.00/hr wage premium for bilingual employees.

• Assist members with a wide variety of services and advise on how best to utilize credit union products to meet personal financial goals.

• Interview loan applicants in person and by phone, gather required information, explain loan options, rates, terms, collateral requirements, and disburse funds.
• Open new accounts, process necessary information, educate members on available services/products, assist with Term Share openings and educate on penalties and earnings.
• Conduct and cross‑sell financial coaching sessions as needed.
• Actively promote marketing efforts, evaluate effectiveness and quality of service delivery, and make recommendations.
• Follow up with members at specified intervals after membership or loan activation.
• Maintain high attention to detail for member accounts, loans, and other member services.
• Travel locally between branches as assigned by the Branch Manager.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.

• Six months to two years of related experience (sales, retail, financial).
• Proficient in use of a 10‑key calculator and proficient typing skills.
• Strong PC skills and good organizational abilities.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize work.

• Maintain phone use for long periods.
• Sit for long periods.
• Listen and communicate effectively.
• Use fingers to handle various objects.
• Walk, reach, bend, and lift various objects using arms, hands, and legs.
• Operate various office equipment with arms and hands.
• Use clear and close vision and adjust focus.
