Sr. Financial Analyst

Description

We are looking for an experienced REMOTE Sr. Financial Analyst to join a growing transportation and logistics organization in Richland, Washington. This Long-term Contract position will provide high-impact financial planning and analysis support while working closely with company leadership to strengthen reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate brings a strong command of financial modeling, operational analysis, and executive-level partnership in a fast-moving business environment.

Responsibilities:

- Build and manage cash flow projections and liquidity reports to support short- and long-range financial visibility.

- Examine labor spending, workforce data, and operational results to uncover performance trends and business drivers.

- Design and refine leadership reporting packages, dashboards, and performance indicators that improve decision support.

- Contribute to budgeting cycles, forecast updates, and broader financial planning activities across the organization.

- Review historical financial performance to identify emerging risks, meaningful trends, and areas for improvement.

- Develop financial models, scenario planning tools, and presentation materials for leadership discussions and strategic decisions.

- Collaborate with ownership, finance, and operations leaders to deliver actionable insights tied to business performance.

- Organize and enhance existing spreadsheets, reporting tools, and financial analysis processes to improve efficiency and clarity.

- Provide analytical support for strategic projects such as acquisitions, corporate restructuring evaluations, and stakeholder reporting needs.

- Perform special financial studies and ad hoc analysis as business priorities evolve.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

- At least 8 years of experience in FP& A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or finance leadership roles.

- Advanced Excel capabilities with demonstrated strength in building robust financial models.

- Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and variance interpretation.

- Proven ability to support senior leadership with financial insights that influence business decisions.

- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication skills.

- Comfortable working independently and adapting quickly within a dynamic, evolving environment.

- Industry experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, or multi-entity businesses is preferred.
