Position Summary:
We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team on weekends. This role ensures our residents have clean, well-maintained linens and clothing to support their comfort and care. If you enjoy hands-on work and making a difference behind the scenes, this is a great opportunity!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a steady supply of clean linens is available for resident care.
  • Inspect linens for damage or stains and remove unusable items from service.
  • Collect soiled laundry from resident rooms daily or as needed.
  • Label clothing for new residents as required.
  • Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold resident clothing and facility linens.
  • Deliver clean laundry back to resident rooms in a timely manner.
  • Follow all sanitation and infection control procedures.
  • Monitor laundry supply inventory and notify supervisor when items are needed.
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and report any malfunctions to the Administrator.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior laundry, housekeeping, or related experience preferred (1 year).
  • Basic reading and math skills to follow instructions and safety procedures.
  • Problem-solving skills and willingness to seek help when needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of industrial laundry machines.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a moderately noisy environment.
Work Environment:
  • Primarily indoors in a laundry/housekeeping setting.
  • Low to moderate noise levels.
  • Reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities.

  • This role has no supervisory responsibilities
