Medical Receptionist for Speech Therapy Clinic Winston Center

Job Description

With unparalleled compassion and a scientifically backed approach, Winston Center helps children and adults address, manage, and overcome dyslexia, dysgraphia, and related language challenges. Winston Center is a specialty medical practice treating children and adults with Language and Learning Disorders. Our treatment is offered in person in Spokane, WA, and via telemedicine across a 3-state area.

  • Full Time
  • $20-24/ hr
  • Benefits:

Responsibilities
  • Receive and direct phone calls
  • Schedule appointments
  • Check patients in and out
  • Obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records
  • Send records to other medical clinics as necessary
  • Ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
  • Assist with referral processing
  • Assist with patient payment collection
Desired qualifications
  • Fast-paced, driven by goals and precision
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, yet strong collaboration skills
  • Medical office experience
  • High school diploma or GED minimum required
  • Knowledge of insurance verification/ eligibility checking preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
  • Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA rules
  • Experience with Office 365 programs
