Description

$5,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

The Recreational Therapist provides a variety of therapeutic social, recreational and diversional events for participants. Conducts individual assessment to identify the participants' individual interests/needs. Develops and implements an appropriate variety of individual and group activities. Participates in interdisciplinary care planning. Coordinates the recreation documentation for her/his assigned group of participants. Leads facility-wide participant-centered events.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Recreation Therapy
• Upon hire:
  National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire:
  Washington Recreational Therapist Registration
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire:
  National Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist - National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification - if practicing within this state

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years Providing recreation with the elderly or disabled.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
