MEDEX STAFFING NETWORK LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RCP) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team in Spokane, WA Night Shift. Responsibilities:- Provide advanced respiratory care and therapeutic interventions to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
- Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation, including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) and non-invasive ventilation
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and adjust ventilator settings accordingly
- Administer aerosolized medications, bronchodilators, and respiratory treatments as prescribed
- Assist with intubations, extubation and airway management procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary PICU care teams include physicians, nurses, and specialists
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response and code situations
- Active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the state of Washington
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a PICU, pediatric, or critical care setting preferred
- Proficiency in mechanical ventilation and advanced airway management
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in high-acuity environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary care team
