North 40 Outfitters is looking to hire a full‑time IT Security Specialist. This role requires availability during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 AM–5 PM) and occasional after‑hours on‑call system maintenance. The position may also involve weekend work, holidays, and occasional travel.

As an IT Security Specialist you will maintain and administer North 40’s network, server, and phone infrastructure and ensure system hardware, operating systems, and software align with our values.

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related field or five years of relevant IT experience and/or training.
• Understanding of principles and processes for delivering quality customer service.
• Ability to document system configurations, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Basic knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certifications
  • Microsoft (MTA, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP)
  • Azure/AWS (Fundamentals, Associate, Professional, Expert, Specialty)
  • VMware (VCA, VCP, VCIX, VXCDX)
  • Networking (CCSA, CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+)
  • ITIL (Foundation, Practitioner, Intermediate, Expert, Master)
• Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft/Azure Active Directory and Group Policies.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint administration.
  • Knowledge of IIS, DFS, WSUS, DNS, DHCP, FTP, CA SSL, AD Certificate Services.
  • Familiarity with firewalls and networking hardware (Check Point, Meraki, Aruba, Cambium).
  • Knowledge of Wi‑Fi hardware (Meraki, Cambium).
  • Understanding of network routing and switching (Layer 2, Layer 3 routing protocols).
  • Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools (packet captures, Network Mapper, NSLOOKUP, DIG, Debug Logging).
  • Knowledge and experience in scripting (Power Shell, Python).
  • Experience in virtual environments (VMware, Hyper‑V).
  • Understanding of VOIP systems (3CX or similar).
  • Familiarity with computer systems and business practices.
  • Advanced experience with Windows and Linux servers.
  • Knowledge of backup administration, scheduling, and troubleshooting using Veeam.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, view monitor, lift up to 50 lb intermittently.
  • After‑hours system maintenance may be required.
  • Occasional travel between local and regional offices may be necessary.
