Job Title: Service Now ITOM Lead.
Location: Spokane, WA (On-site).
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through Zip Staff — No C2C or 1099).
About the Opportunity:Zip Staff is seeking a Service Now ITOM Lead to design and guide enterprise ITOM delivery for a global technology services firm. This is a hands-on technical lead role in a multi-tier production Service Now environment. You will own CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping architecture, review implementation and customization end-to-end, and give developers clear technical direction. Platform admins or ITSM-only consultants without deep ITOM will not be a fit.
What You’ll Do:- Lead end-to-end ITOM implementation and customization on Service Now.
- Implement and govern CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
. - Work with client/server APIs:
Glide Record, Glide Form, Glide Aggregate, Glide Dialog Window , and related APIs. - Validate requirements, flag gaps, and confirm solutions are accurate and feasible.
- Provide domain architecture and technical best practices.
- Participate in requirements sessions and translate outcomes into developer guidance.
- Review ITOM build quality, customization, and production readiness.
- Support ITOM capabilities including Cloud Insights, ITOM Governance, Connected Ops, and Cloud Observability

- 10–12 years of Service Now experience in an enterprise, multi-tier production environment.
- 10+ years in IT overall.
- Hands-on implementation of CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
. - Strong Glide API experience (Glide Record, Glide Form, Glide Aggregate, Glide Dialog Window ).
- Proven ability to design ITOM solutions and review developer work.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (or Administration certification).
- Service Now Implementation Specialist certification in Discovery and/or Service Mapping
. - Ability to work on-site in Spokane, WA.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Service Now ITOM Cloud Insights, ITOM Governance, Connected Ops, Cloud Observability.
- Prior lead experience on multi-workstream ITOM programs.
- Additional Service Now ITOM / CIS certifications.
