IT Specialist

Description

Robert Half is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our client's technology team. This individual will play a key role in supporting end users, maintaining technology systems, and ensuring employees have the tools they need to work efficiently and securely. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer-service mindset, hands-on technical troubleshooting experience, and the ability to support a variety of hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide day-to-day technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, software applications, and network connectivity issues.

+ Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems, and standard business applications.

+ Respond to, document, and resolve support requests through the organization's help desk ticketing system.

+ Manage technology assets throughout their lifecycle, including deployment, inventory tracking, maintenance, and replacement.

+ Support user account administration, access management, and Microsoft 365 environments.

+ Assist with troubleshooting basic networking, connectivity, and communication system issues.

+ Help maintain security best practices by supporting data protection initiatives, security policies, and compliance requirements.

+ Provide end-user training and guidance to improve technology adoption and cybersecurity awareness.

+ Collaborate with internal teams on technology upgrades, implementations, and process improvements.

+ Maintain accurate technical documentation, inventory records, and support procedures.

Requirements

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training, certifications, or related education preferred.

+ 2+ years of experience in Help Desk, Desktop Support, IT Support, or a related technical support role.

+ Experience supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.

+ Working knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, user account management, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.

+ Basic understanding of networking concepts including connectivity, wireless access, and TCP/IP troubleshooting.

+ Experience utilizing ticketing systems, remote support tools, and asset management platforms.

+ Understanding of information security principles and data privacy best practices.

+ Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.

+ Ability to prioritize multiple requests and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

+ CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or other relevant technical certifications.

+ Experience supporting multi-site environments and distributed users.

+ Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra  (Azure AD), and endpoint management tools.
