As the Safety Director, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s safety programs. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while driving initiatives to promote a culture of safety across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands‑on experience in construction safety, risk management, and employee training.

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs and policies in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, MSHA, DOT).
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections at project sites to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide leadership in emergency preparedness, ensuring contingency plans are developed and communicated to staff.
• Coordinate and lead safety training programs, ensuring all employees are properly trained in safe work practices.
• Serve as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate safety risks.
• Develop and maintain safety-related documentation, including reports, manuals, and safety metrics.
• Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability across the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA, MSHA, etc.).
• Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, and risk management.
• Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and influence safety initiatives across an organization.
• Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) are highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

Salary Range for this position: $85,000 to $115,000 per year.
