We are seeking a senior level Project Manager to help our client with large, multi‑year projects within their Power Generation group (hydro & thermal). The ideal candidate can work with multiple teams, leading large scale projects from inception to closeout while managing scope, schedule, and cost. Excellent communication and facilitation skills are essential.
Responsibilities- Experience managing all phases (Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Closure) in large‑scale construction projects (preferably within the utility vertical).
- Development of charter, scope, objectives, budget, and business cases for projects $50M+.
- Creation of detailed work plans including schedule, cost, resources, contingency, and communication plans.
- Maintain project documentation control systems; identify, analyze, and communicate performance issues (scope, quality, cost, schedule).
- Monitor and manage vendor tasks, track and review deliverables.
- Facilitate contract administration.
- Develop project strategy and support business case.
- Adjust project scope, timing, and budgets as needed.
- Communicate strategy and direction.
- Track key milestones, performance, and recommend adjustments.
- Create, update, and track short‑ and long‑term budgets.
- Track deliverables and coordinate closeout activities.
- Coordinate invoice coding and payment application upon approval.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.
- 7+ years of project management experience in construction, preferably within utilities.
- Proficient in processing and managing construction and engineering records.
- Proficient in developing/enhancing common project artifacts (charters, WBS, status reports, project plans).
- Experience in contract management and compliance.
- Experience with start‑up, commissioning, close‑out, and archiving.
- Proficient in document control (submittals, RFIs, as‑builts).
- Ability to run productive meetings.
- Proficiency with scheduling software (Microsoft, Primavera P6).
- Financial forecasting and budgeting background a plus.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Strong technology / network / security background preferred.
$55.00-$75.00 per hour
