We are partnering with a well-established, privately held wholesale distribution organization to identify a Branch Manager to lead a high-performing branch in Spokane, Washington. This leader will oversee day-to-day operations while driving sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction across a diverse base of contractor and municipal customers.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, results-oriented leader who understands wholesale distribution, values strong relationships, and can balance financial performance with operational excellence, culture, and long-term growth.
Compensation includes an attractive base salary, annual performance-based bonus, and monthly vehicle allowance. Essential Job Functions- Lead all aspects of branch operations, including sales performance, customer service, inventory management, safety, and financial results.
- Drive branch-level sales growth and profitability while maintaining strong cost controls and margin discipline.
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Manage branch P&L, budgets, and performance metrics, translating results into actionable priorities for the team.
- Maintain strong relationships with commercial, residential, and municipal customers, serving as a visible and trusted local leader.
- Partner with contractors, excavators, builders, and municipalities to support projects involving water infrastructure and underground utilities.
- Ensure consistent execution of operational standards, inventory accuracy, safety practices, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee procurement, receiving, and inventory processes for waterworks and related product lines.
- Collaborate with district and corporate leadership to align branch performance with company objectives.
- Promote a culture focused on teamwork, customer service, safety, and long-term success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in wholesale distribution, waterworks, underground utilities, plumbing, HVAC, or related construction-focused industries.
- 3+ years as a Branch Manager, General Manager, or Profit Center Manager in a high-volume wholesale distribution environment.
- Working knowledge of water infrastructure products such as PVC pipe, ductile iron pipe, valves, hydrants, HDPE, meters, storm drainage, water heaters, boilers, or rough plumbing materials strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing branch-level P&L, budgets, and operational performance.
- Ability to lead, develop, and retain frontline teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Strong customer-facing skills with a proven ability to build long-term relationships and drive repeat business.
- Track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and profitability.
- Ethical, people-focused leadership style that promotes ownership, accountability, and engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems;
Epicor Eclipse experience a plus.
