RoleSummary
The Production Planning Coordinator is responsible for creating production schedules for specific product areas, managing customer orders, and maintaining onsite production inventory. Working closely with manufacturing, customer service, and procurement teams, the coordinator ensures efficient utilization of equipment and time, meeting all ship dates while maintaining workload balance across all shifts.
Responsibilities- Upon review of sales orders, drawings, and plans; establishes production schedules for multiple pieces of equipment related to hourly flow of production through the process (Roll Form Mills, flat sheet, shear, slitter, etc.)
- Maintains accurate production planning to meet site capacity, including modifying and adapting production scheduling, issuing run lists and production related paperwork, and issuing order amendments to accommodate revisions, cancellations or priorities. Also manages Sales Order backorder communications with the Customer Service Team.
- Works with team lead to maintain daily and weekly productivity records and throughput capacity data.
- Oversees the full‑cycle process of standard stocked flat sheet program, including creating a purchase requisition worksheet and maintaining/updating production orders and flat sheet STOs to meet customer demand while minimizing aged flat sheet inventory.
- Schedules, participates in, and maintains cycle count processing to ensure inventory accuracy throughout the year (Buyout, Flat Sheet, Coil, FG inventory).
- Responsible for inventory related responsibilities during the site biannual inventory process.
- Responsible for receiving transactional processes and overseeing the incoming and put‑away of materials.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum two years of experience in a high‑volume production environment.
- Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a scheduling or production planning role.
- SAP experience.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
- Ability to effectively manage priorities and workflows.

Estimated hourly rate $24.08 – $36.09. Actual base rate depends on individual skills, qualifications, and experience. Eligible for 401(k) savings plan, healthcare (medical, dental, vision), and other rewards.
