Production Planner; Spokane Valley, WA

A metal fabrication manufacturing company located in Spokane Valley, WA is hiring a Production Planner for a 6‑month Contract‑to‑Hire position. The role requires prior manufacturing industry experience, the ability to interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints, and strong administrative skills. The opportunity is fully onsite.

Applicants must be located around Spokane, WA for consideration, as this opportunity is 100% onsite.

Pay – $23/hr to $26/hr (depending on qualifications, skills, and experience).

Schedule – Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PST.

Contract Duration – 6 months with potential transition to permanent employment.

Employment – W2 through Aston Carter.

• Process drawing packages within an ERP software system.
• Compile PDF drawing packages, print them, and supply them to the shop for fabrication.
• Work closely with procurement team/shop personnel to ensure correct materials arrive on time.
• Follow general‑purpose rules and situation‑specific guidelines when developing work instructions.
• Produce complete, accurate, and timely work instructions.
• Continuously update data within corporate software to provide accurate and up‑to‑date information.
• Schedule and coordinate operational activities.
• Read company orders, determine material needs, and set up requirements.

• 1‑2 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication industry.
• Basic knowledge of reading/interpretating mechanical drawings/blueprints (must be mentioned on resume).
• Detail‑oriented with close attention to accuracy.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn additional software (Microsoft Suite, ERP, etc.).
• Comfortable submitting to a drug test upon hire, including testing for THC.
• Any understanding of AutoCAD or Solid Works is a big plus, but not required.
• Prior experience partnering closely with the engineering team is a big plus, but not required.
