Mechanical Test Technician Job Description

Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Technician to join the new product development team, supporting the Rigid Wall Shelter Line of products. The Test Technician will collaborate with designers and manufacturing engineers to assist in prototype builds, testing, and product development. This is a first shift, Monday-Friday position.

• Support prototype development and integration.
• Perform assembly tasks, such as working with commercial grade components and materials
• Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Provide feedback to design engineers on producibility, manufacturability, and process improvements.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality enhancements.
• Assist with troubleshooting, repair, and testing of prototype builds.

• Hands-on experience operating production equipment, such as basic tools
• Experience working with commercial–grade materials (assembly, joining, or fabrication)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
• Prior experience supporting prototype builds (preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn new processes.
• Have working knowledge of Solid Works and MIL-STD-810
