SLM Technicians are responsible for the sterile filtration, filling and capping of allergenic products at Jubilant Hollister‑Stier. This includes filtration and dispensing of liquid allergen products and related duties as well as semi‑automated aseptic filling of liquid and freeze‑dried allergenic products. The SLM Technician Level 1 is an entry‑level position that supports core operations within the ABU SLM department, focusing on foundational tasks that ensure cleanliness, organization and accuracy of sterile allergenic product processing.
Technicians in this role follow established procedures and maintain compliance with aseptic and safety standards.
- Assist in routine departmental operations including preparation and staging of materials.
- Support workflow efficiency by maintaining organized work spaces and supplies.
- Perform cleaning and sanitization of equipment and work areas according to SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and cleanroom standards.
- Package allergenic products in accordance with labeling and boxing procedures.
- Verify product counts and inspect packaging for integrity and accuracy.
- Accurately record batch data and support traceability of materials and products.
- Assist in documentation and reconciliation of production records.
- Execute basic SAP transactions related to inventory movement, material staging and production reporting.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and support data integrity.
- Setup and aseptically filter allergenic extracts.
- Perform manual and semi‑automated aseptic filling of sterile injectable allergenic extracts.
- Maintain clean room certification via daily gown testing.
- Perform mathematical calculations such as percents, ratios, time differences and formulation of final container products.
- Accurately and legibly record manufacturing information and handle manufacturing records.
- Learn and follow standard operating procedures and comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Process chemical dilution for use in cleaning and sanitizing.
- Operate equipment in critical areas (e.g., Amsco autoclaves, mix tanks, balances, Watson Marlow pumps).
- Perform daily sanitization and complete sanitizing documentation as required by SOPs.
- Remain current on all SOPs related to the SLM area and compliance with cGMPs.
- Report any safety or equipment concerns to the area Lead and/or Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Pharmaceutical experience desired.
- FDA regulated industry experience desired.
- Manufacturing production and equipment operation experience desired.
- Basic understanding of cleanroom protocols and aseptic handling desired.
- Familiarity with SAP or willingness to learn enterprise systems desired.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- 20/30 corrected Near‑Point required.
- Respirator clearance required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. above shoulders unassisted required.
- Exposure to allergens required.
- Working in aseptic areas required.
- Repetitive activity, prolonged sitting and standing required.
Weekday days, Monday‑Friday.
