The Nurse Practitioner position includes performing medical assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process, focusing exclusively on conducting in-person examinations and reviewing medical records. This role does not involve treating patients or prescribing medication, and requires completing 3-5 assessments daily with a structured schedule during normal business hours. The ideal candidate must possess a current Nurse Practitioner license and demonstrate strong data analysis and time management skills.
ScheduleFull‑Time (8am‑4pm). This is an IN‑PERSON position.
Key Attributes- Interested in performing Independent Medical Assessments.
- Able to analyze data from the medical records and exam findings to complete the questionnaire and form medical opinions.
- Skilled in time management, able to stay on task and meet requirements.
- Must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- Proficiently use a computer.
- Must have a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- Training and continued support provided
- $65+ / hour
- Health Insurance options available
- Computer supplied
- Typical day : 3 to 5 patients a day
