American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with neurology experience for a day shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a WA or compact RN license.
Details- Works in the Telemetry/Neuro Stepdown unit of a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital
- Cares for post-surgical neurology patients and a variety of neurological diagnoses
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required between units
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic for charting
- Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
- Neurology RN experience required, including comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale
- Experience caring for post-surgical neurology patients and various neurological diagnoses
- Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury care preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for compliance
- Provide telemetry and neurological nursing care including cardiac monitoring and management of post-surgical and various neuro diagnoses
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day), with added support needed on Christmas
- Scrubs may be any color for RNs
- No parking fees at the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel RN and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to return
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- RTO requests should be submitted upfront; limited RTO flexibility is available once contracted
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities as permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem staff
