American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with neuro experience for a day shift position requiring a WA or compact RN license and NIHSS certification.

• Work in the Telemetry/Neuro Stepdown unit of a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital
• Care for neurology and neurosurgery patients including CVA, craniotomy, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury cases
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating between units required
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR used, experience required

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube management, and procedural sedation monitoring
• 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, from supervisory roles such as Charge RNs or Leads required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Provide telemetry and neuro stepdown nursing care, including stroke scale assessments and monitoring of pre/post neurosurgery and spinal cord injury patients
• Any color scrubs accepted for RNs
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day), with added coverage needed for Christmas
• Candidates living within 50 miles may be accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles, with location and dates if applicable
