American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a heavy neuro unit requiring at least 1 year of tele experience and a WA or compact RN license.

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital
• Heavy neurology patient population including post-surgical neuro and various neuro diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating between units required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience required
• No neuro experience required, but must be willing to learn and work in a heavy neuro unit
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with skills such as cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, craniotomy care, CVA, and pre/post neurosurgery care preferred

• Provide telemetry and neuro stepdown nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Care for post-surgical neurology patients and various neuro diagnoses using the NIH Stroke Scale
• Thanksgiving and New Year's are typically covered, but additional support is needed for Christmas
• May float to sister facilities within the system
• Scrub color is open for RNs
• Candidates may return as travelers after 3 months if previously employed in a permanent role, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Radius requirement of 50 miles for standard travel pay rate
