American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with neuro experience for a night shift position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a WA or compact RN license.

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Telemetry unit within a short term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Floating between units required
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• 48-hour work weeks approved
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active WA or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• At least 6 months of neurology patient care experience required
• Proficient with NIH Stroke Scale and caring for a variety of neurology diagnoses
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management required
• Experience with neurological conditions including craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury required
• Epic charting experience required
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Provide telemetry and neuro stepdown care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Scrub color is any color for RNs
• No parking fee at this facility
• Christmas holiday coverage typically needed, while Thanksgiving and New Year's are generally covered
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius for standard travel rate eligibility
