American Traveler is hiring a NICU RN for a 4x12 Day shift assignment requiring BLS, NRP, and at least 2 years of recent NICU experience.

• Work in a Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Patient population includes neonates under 24-28 weeks, 29-34 weeks, and over 34 weeks
• Patient ratios vary between 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Variable weekend shifts required
• Floating between units and sister facilities within the state required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, UAC/UVC, and administration of blood products
• Experience managing neonatal respiratory support including CPAP, HFNC, high frequency ventilation, oscillators, and ventilator management
• Experience with neonatal medications including vasopressors, anti-seizure medications, antibiotics, and surfactants
• Experience with developmental care, thermoregulation, and patient/family teaching
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for compliance

• Provide comprehensive neonatal critical care including respiratory, cardiovascular, GI, neurologic, and infectious disease management
• Support breastfeeding and handling of breast milk, feeding management, and NEC care
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as permanent staff, traveler, or per-diem
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the submittal process
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period if located more than 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are not required to apply but travel experience is not mandatory
