American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN with Level III/IV NICU experience and Epic charting proficiency for a 13-week day shift assignment.

• NICU III and IV work setting
• Patient population includes neonates 34 weeks
• Staffing ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 depending on acuity
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM)
• Variable weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating between units and sister facilities required
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Experience with 1:3 patient ratios required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy, UAC/UVC management, central and arterial line care, and administration of blood products and emergency medications
• Experience with ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), high frequency ventilation, and nitric oxide therapy required
• Experience with neonatal conditions including NEC, respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal sepsis, and seizure disorders required
• Experience with therapeutic hypothermia, phototherapy, and developmental care required
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill neonates across varying acuity levels
• Support includes collaboration with charge RNs and unit leadership
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
