What’s the difference between Vetco Vaccination Clinics and Vetco Total Care Hospitals?

Vetco Vaccination Clinics provide wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations, medications, heartworm testing and microchip insertion. No surgeries, emergencies or sick visits. Clinics are located inside Petco retail locations and are staffed by trained personnel who manage operations and transactions.

Vetco Total Care Hospitals offer preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries and dental procedures. Shifts include partnership with the area medical director and use of advanced equipment such as Butterfly IQ+ handheld ultrasound, digital and dental X‑ray, Vetology Radiograph Interpretation AI and on‑site labs. No overnight or emergency on‑call.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
• State‑specific licensing to perform all shift functions, including blood draws and vaccine administration
• DEA in good standing preferred for full‑service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
• Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance and license defense policy
• Compliance with all local, state and federal mandates
