Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage
Position Summary
Responsible for managing the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Develops a team to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Key Duties / Responsibilities- Internal Service:
Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees; monitor staffing levels; ensure systems for training are fully implemented and adhered to; identify and develop internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions; create an employee-friendly, fun, clean, and safe environment; motivate and inspire employees to achieve high performance. - External Service:
Manage daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operational performance; provide an exceptional guest experience; maintain brand image of cleanliness and service; respond to guest concerns in a timely and professional manner and ensure positive resolution. - Sales & Profit:
Utilize management information tools to analyze restaurant performance; identify trends and implement action plans; focus on increasing sales and profitability by executing the SPC and understanding its impact on overall business; monitor costs and adherence to budget and goals.
- Fostering the Culture: Demonstrates passion for the business and pride in Jack in the Box; manages professionally with integrity and honesty; promotes culture and values; treats employees and guests with respect; actively listens and communicates timely, clearly, and accurately.
- Training / Coaching / Development: Motivates and inspires employees; effectively trains and coaches; identifies potential; fosters development for promotion; demonstrates commitment to employee growth.

Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1+ years as an Associate Manager and/or 2 years as a First Assistant Manager; must be 100% certified in all workstations; OR Minimum of 3 years managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Must be at least 18 years old; must complete Restaurant Manager training classes; must be Serv Safe certified; proficient in English; excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organization skills; proficient with personal computer and related software; valid driver’s license and insurance; willingness to use personal vehicle for travel.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk ~85-95% of shift; lift and carry 10-65 lbs; operate equipment; use computer keyboard; drive a motor vehicle.
