Alterations Room Receptionist Customer Service Representative
Location: Spokane Valley, WA |
Salary: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour |

We are looking for a friendly, detail‑oriented Receptionist / Customer Service Representative to join our Alterations department. The candidate will welcome customers, schedule appointments, manage the alterations workflow, and ensure a positive customer experience from start to finish.
Essential Job Functions- Welcoming all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats, and in person.
- Using all store systems to manage customer flow and deliver a five‑star customer experience.
- Meeting all service vows:
Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs & Be There for all customers, including operational checklists. - Providing exceptional service when handling multiple customers simultaneously and proactively resolving concerns.
- Explaining how alterations can enhance a dress in partnership with the Alterations team.
- Promoting all alterations services and personalization options.
- Maintaining store‑standards: clean, organized, promotional readiness, and recovery to support a flawless shopping experience.
- Adhering to dress‑code standards as required by policy.
- Greeting and escorting all alterations customers to and from appointments.
- Pressing, steaming, and spot‑cleaning all merchandise.
- Following quality‑control guidelines and inspecting all garments before final delivery.
- Building long‑term relationships to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Assisting with inventory management: processing special orders, pick‑ups, and quality standards for all merchandise.
- Performing all cash‑wrap responsibilities and accurately processing transactions.
- Seeking assistance from the Alterations Manager when customer issues cannot be resolved.
- Maintaining a clean and organized alterations room.
- Performing duties and tasks assigned by store management.
- Stand, walk, sit, and reach for tools and objects for extended periods; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift up to 10 lb.
- Use manual dexterity for POS, sewing, steaming, pressing, and daily store tasks.
- Maintain good visual acuity and use of computer, electronic devices, and phones for long periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store.
- Prior sewing experience is helpful.
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point‑of‑Sale) systems.
