We are looking for a Store Associate to provide excellent customer service and meet sales requirements for our thrift stores. This is a part‑time, hourly position.

• High School degree or equivalent
• Retail or thrift experience preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of cash handling and cashier procedures – helpful
• Ability and willingness to learn new methods to improve skills and proficiency

As part of the thrift store team, you will be tasked with a variety of jobs under the supervision of the Store Manager and/or Supervisor. These jobs may include:

• Receiving donations, sorting, hanging clothes, pricing, stocking the sales floor, arranging merchandise in displays, operating the cash register, accurate money handling, processing credit cards, and helping carry out purchased merchandise.
• Communicating with staff, volunteers, and customers while keeping the store clean and organized with excellent customer service.
• Adhering to uniform, cell phone, break, and smoking policies.

• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Team player who cooperates with supervisors, staff, volunteers, and customers to achieve store goals
• Self‑starter with problem‑solving ability or willingness to seek assistance
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
• Good organization to support effective time management
• Professional courtesy and respect toward the public
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and maintain poise under pressure
• Customer‑service mindset
• Knowledge of cash controls and cashier procedures including credit card sales, vouchers, and accurate register operation
• General knowledge of business protocols for safe, efficient operations

• Ability to produce written information such as research and donation receipts
• Ability to meet TSA background check and Protecting the Mission requirements and guidelines

Must perform all other duties as assigned by a Store Manager or Store Supervisor.

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods on a hard floor
• Ability to continuously grasp, push, pull objects, and reach overhead
• Ability to repetitively lift 35-50 lbs
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead for duties such as stocking store shelves
